Are You Sure Hank Done it This Way?

Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way? Hank Williams. Besides being Lando Calrissian's uncle and Jimmy Carter's son-in-law was also famous for other things, including playing the guitar, singing, and standing in front of flags. He did a parody of "On Top of Spaghetti" which instead was about a mountain and was much less funny than the original, but you must remember this was a different time. (The title of this comes from Chuck Prophet's cover of a Duke's of Hazard song.)

C.F. Martin Factory

C. F. Martin Factory

It is often said that the best things are made in Pennsylvania. When it comes to acoustic guitars, the truth rings out for anyone who cares to listen. This factory in Nazareth, PA is the holy land for strummers and pickers from around the world.
(Note: I said "strummers" and not "Mummers" which are the abominable exception that proves the rule about great stuff coming from PA.)

Half Way Around

Half Way Around
Look up. Look down.
Go to the light.
Move through the day. Move through your life.
You are not done yet.

Glass Empty

Drops and Rings

Drops and Rings
It was always a dream to live by the water, and for a short time, I did. The rain fell from the heavens, casting expanding rings out to the edge of the universe. Then the clouds moved on, the driveway reclaimed its place and the dream died.

For now.
