I Am the Danger

Photo #118

Have I mentioned that I have succumbed to a new addiction that is taking my time and money away from photography? This is part of that. My supplier is not a former high school chemistry teacher (as far as I know) but a store called MoreBeer These blue rocks are part of their delicious Walter Wheat kit, which is so far the best beer I've ever made.

Day 118 - Hold Back the Light - 8 Apr 2011

Not quite part of the Stuff-On-My-Desk series, but it is the same idea because I was sitting at my desk looking for something to photograph when I spied this.

Of all the blue stained glass things in my office, this is definitely in the top two.

Day 75 - Concentricity - 24 Feb 2011

And yet another shot from the Random Stuff on My Desk series. These usually happen when the day is passing by and I have yet to find any inspiration, which was the case this day. Not to spoil the magic, but this is a picture of the lights on my external harddrive. I meant for it to be sharp and clear, but screwed up and set the exposure for too long. When I saw the result, I decided to try more long handheld exposures.

Day 18 - End of the Universe - 29 Dec 2010

Those of you that were along last time may remember my fondess for blue glass. If not, you will soon realize that blue glass is the new Santa.

Red vs Blue x2

Day 309

Election day in the USA, and with all the talk of red states vs. blue states, I figured it was a good time to revisit the red and blue bottles. Perhaps I should have made the blue bottle much, much bigger than the red one to be more accurate.

Guardian of For Now

Day 189

I continue to bend the definition of "light fixture" for the July challenge, but so it goes. In case you were wondering, this is an illuminated mouse pad. If you look closely through the archives, you'll notice that it has showed up in several other shots this year.

Boy Blue

Day 46

The Week of Blue continues, and I tried to recapture one of my favorite shots from the Week Of Red. As usual, this subject was less willing and unable to be still for a fraction of a second, but you do what you can.

Age of Aquarius

Day 45

This song is now playing in my head. All due respect to the Fifth Dimension, but make it stop!! Anoyone clever enough to say what the title of this picture has to do with the subject?

Blue Down

Day 42

I have to admit that I had the idea for this shot yesterday, but saved it for today. That is one downside of trying to a photo a day - it gives you an incentive to stop shooting once you have the keeper for that day.
