Cicle of Winter

Photo #61

I've decided that winter should last from December 15 - January 15. During this time, Winter can do whatever it wants to us - snow, ice, cold... whatever. Bring it on! After Jan 15th though, winter is over. There will not be a day that the temperature is not above freezing. Snow can fall, but it is not allowed to accumulate or even stick. And ice - forget it.

How about it, Science?

Day 80 - Ice Invaders - 1 Mar 2011

Ice Invaders

When I got the trays to make ice cubes shaped like the aliens from Space Invaders I thought it would allow me to add a bit of retro geekiness to an otherwise sophisticated evening sipping Martinis with our suave and cultured friends. Well, guess what. Turns out evenings like that are few and far between with my crowd. Yes, our friends tend to be more beer and wine type people, and you don't put ice cubes in beer (or in wine either, so I'm told).

Day 19 - Willing to Sacrifice - 30 Dec 2010

Willing To Sacrifice

I am a strong believer that garages are for storing cars - but perhaps I am wrong about this. Due to a basketball hoop assembly project that took a good bit longer than I expected, I had to park the Swagger Wagon in the driveway for a few days. On one cold morning I got into my vehicle to discover there was frozen water of some sort all over the windshield. You don't get this kind of photo opportunity when parking in the garage.
