The Odyssey Continues

"Every day there must be something worth seeing." That was what I was thinking on January 1, 2008 when I set out to take a good picture everyday for a year. A year later I had accomplished my goal and in the process had learned to see and notice things that might otherwise have gone overlooked.

It was an important lesson. It was also a lesson that once the year was over I gradually forgot. Soon spans of time would go by where I did not notice the things worth seeing. Sometimes days, sometimes weeks, sometimes longer. Without noticing these things I could not capture them. More and more, photography became something I used to do.

The time has come to reverse this trend. Three years after I first set off on this journey I am announcing that I am doing it again. I actually started the second wave on December 12, and now will start blogging the photos as the odyssey continues.

I know from experience that this will be a very challenging experience. I don't know how I will get through the next few months yet alone to December 11th. Somehow I must, even it means pictures of bottles and Legos, and the cat. These can all be worth seeing.

Away we go!
