Into Spring 2015

Into Spring 2015 by Andy Roth on 500px

Photo #75

This is a tradition from the first two odysseys that I am glad I remembered to do again. As before, I plan to take the same shot of this the same reflecting orb yard-art thing on the first day of each season. Since the last time we've moved, and so has the orb. Take a look at all the change of season shots!

Day 99 - Vernal Equinox 2011 - 20 Mar 2011

Once again, trying to capture the same view on the first day of each season. Aside from a little less snow and perhaps a bit more green to the grass, does not look that different from the first day of winter.

You can see the change of the season shots from this and the last odyssey here

Day 10 - Winter Solstice - 21 Dec 2010

The Prophet Daryl Hall taught us that seasons change and people change. The former can be counted on. The latter not so much. While we in the Northern Hemisphere traveled into a new season, I went back in time to reuse an idea from the first round of Roth365.

If you'd like, you can see the first day of spring, summer, autumn, and winter from 2008.

Winter Solstice

Day 355

Just like I did on the first days of Spring, Summer, and Fall, once again here is a shot of the oblate spheroid lawn decoration in the back yard. I was hoping for a very snowy, wintry looking picutre, but at least I got some ice.

Autumnal Equinox

Day 266

You know why I like the first day of new season? Because I don't have to figure out what the photo for that day will be. Just like I did on the first day of Spring and the first day of Summer, I have again taken a picture of the reflecting orb thingy in the back yard. I didn't realize until later that I was one set of wind chimes away from a hidden Mickey.

Summer Solstice

Day 172

You may recall that exactly one season ago, I posted a shot of the reflective orb thingy in my back yard. At the time, I planned to take the same shot on the first day of each season. Here is the next installment. As you can see, some growth has happened, and if you look closely, you may even see a bug.

Vernal Equinox

Day 80

My plan is to take this same picture on the first day of each season. Not only will I get four pictures out of the deal, it might be interesting to see what changes through the year.
